Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is handled when you use this website (ibapproved.com.au), submit an enquiry, or book a call. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who we are
This website (ibapproved.com.au) is operated by IB & Co Pty Ltd (ABN 47 681 615 878), trading as IB Approved (“we”, “us”, “our”). Ivan Batros is the director of IB & Co Pty Ltd.
Ivan provides credit assistance as a finance broker, Credit Representative Number 563633, authorised under Connective Credit Services Pty Ltd (ABN 51 143 651 496), Australian Credit Licence Number 389328.
As a credit representative, we also handle your information in line with our licensee's privacy policy, available from Connective at connective.com.au.
2. What information do we collect and how do we use it?
We will ask you for personal information when we assist you with your finance. Personal information may include any sensitive information (including health information) and may include any information you tell us about any vulnerability you may have. We use the information you provide to advise about and assist with your credit needs. We only provide your information to the companies with whom you choose to deal (and their representatives).
We also use your information to send you requested product information and to enable us to manage your ongoing relationship with us, for example invoicing and client surveys. We may do so by mail or electronically unless you tell us that you do not wish to receive electronic communications. We may also use your information internally to help us improve our services and help resolve any problems.
Information you give us — when you fill in our enquiry form, book a call, email or phone us, we may collect:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your business name (if provided);
- details about what you're looking for — your goal, timeframe, circumstances and any notes you add;
- any other information you choose to give us during the finance process.
Information we collect automatically — when you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect:
- your IP address, device type, browser and operating system;
- pages viewed, links clicked, videos played and forms submitted;
- the website or ad that referred you, and advertising click identifiers (for example a Facebook click ID fbclid, and campaign tags such as UTM parameters);
- cookie and pixel identifiers (see section 4).
What if you don't provide some information to us? If you don't provide us with full information, we can't properly advise or assist you with your credit needs.
3. How do we hold and protect your information?
We strive to maintain the reliability, accuracy, completeness and currency of the personal information we hold and to protect its privacy and security. We keep personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or to comply with any applicable legal or ethical reporting or document retention requirements.
We hold the information we collect from you through our website host and form provider (Netlify) and our booking tool (Cal.com), whose servers are located in the United States, and through our licensee's (Connective's) systems, including its client management platform.
We ensure that your information is safe by using HTTPS/TLS encryption on our website, access controls on our systems and accounts, and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards against misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
4. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and online tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to remember where you came from, and to measure and improve our advertising.
Meta Pixel & Conversions API
We use Meta's advertising tools (the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API) provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you use our site, information about your activity — such as page views, video plays, enquiry submissions and bookings — may be shared with Meta so we can measure and optimise our ads.
When you submit an enquiry, we also send Meta a limited set of information through the Conversions API, including a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) version of certain details such as your email address, phone number and name, together with your IP address, browser and the event details. Hashing means Meta receives a coded value, not your raw details. Meta may use this to attribute and improve ad performance and to match activity to Meta accounts. We do not sell your personal information.
You can control this in several ways: adjust your browser's cookie settings; review or limit ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences; opt out via Your Online Choices; and read Meta's Privacy Policy. Blocking cookies may affect how the site works.
5. Will we disclose the information we collect to anyone?
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
We may need to provide your information to our credit licensee (for example for administration and supervision activities), contractors who supply services to us, or to other companies in the event of a corporate sale, merger, re-organisation, dissolution or similar event. However, we will do our best to ensure that they protect your information in the same way that we do. We may also provide your information to others if we are required to do so by law or under some unusual other circumstances which the Privacy Act permits.
In practice, we may disclose your personal information to:
- Lenders and credit providers (and their agents, insurers and valuers) in order to arrange or apply for finance on your behalf;
- our licensee and aggregator — Connective Credit Services Pty Ltd — as part of providing credit assistance and meeting compliance obligations;
- service providers who help us run the business and this website, including our website host and form provider (Netlify), our booking tool (Cal.com), and our advertising and measurement provider (Meta);
- others where you have consented, or where we are required or authorised by law (for example regulators, courts, or dispute resolution schemes).
6. Disclosures to overseas recipients
Some of the recipients to whom we disclose your personal information may be based overseas. It is not practicable to list every country in which such recipients are located but it is likely that such countries will include the Philippines, India and Nepal (through our licensee's service arrangements). In addition, our website service providers — Meta, Netlify and Cal.com — may hold data in the United States and other countries. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Marketing and how to opt out
From time to time, we will use your contact details to send you direct marketing communications including offers, updates and newsletters that are relevant to the services we provide. We may do so by mail or electronically unless you tell us that you do not wish to receive electronic communications. You can unsubscribe or opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by notifying us (see section 13), and we will no longer send this information to you.
8. Credit-related information
Because we provide credit assistance, we may collect and handle credit-related personal information. This is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including Part IIIA and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code, and by our licensee's credit and privacy policies. For details of how credit information is collected, used, disclosed and exchanged with credit providers and credit reporting bodies, please see our licensee's privacy policy, available from Connective at connective.com.au.
9. How can you check, update or change the information we are holding?
Upon receipt of your written request and enough information to allow us to identify the information, we will disclose to you the personal information we hold about you. We will also correct, amend or delete any personal information that we agree is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
If you wish to access or correct your personal information, please write to our Privacy Officer: Ivan Batros, ivan@ibapproved.com.au.
We do not charge for receiving a request for access to personal information, for complying with a correction request, or for providing access to personal information.
10. Your consent
By asking us to assist with your credit needs, you consent to the collection and use of the information you have provided to us for the purposes described in this policy. For more information on your privacy rights, please visit oaic.gov.au.
11. Complaints
We welcome your questions and comments about privacy. If you do have a complaint, please let us know — if we don't know about it, we can't fix it. Contact our Complaints Officer: Ivan Batros, ivan@ibapproved.com.au, or 0424 441 334. You should explain the details of your complaint as clearly as you can, ideally in writing, though you can also lodge it by telephone or in person. When we receive a complaint, we will attempt to resolve it promptly.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992. Complaints about credit assistance or finance services may also be dealt with through our licensee's dispute resolution process and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top.
